If you are a director of a company, registered Australian body, registered foreign company or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporation please confirm via email to admin@ifa-aust.com.au by COB tomorrow, 30th November that you have obtained your Director ID by the required deadlines (see below for details). You are not obligated to provide your actual Director ID number to us (and we recommend you do not send it to us via email for your security), nor to any entity that you are not a director of or to ASIC, unless required by law.
In November 2021 it became a legal requirement for directors to obtain a director ID. It is a criminal offence if you do not apply on time and penalties may apply if you do not apply on time and/or not hold an ID when you are required to do so.
If you were a director of one of the entities specified above:
on or before 31st October 2021 and you haven’t already applied for your Director ID, you must do so by 30th November 2022;
and were appointed between 1st November 2021 and 4th April 2022 (and didn’t already have an ID) then you must have applied for the ID within 28 days of your appointment; or
and were appointed from 5th April 2022 onwards, you must have applied for your ID prior to your appointment.
